Brothers Tristan and Zach Lush grew up playing competitive sports in New England. As young athletes they were fortunate to train under great coaches who helped pave their way towards athletic scholarships and professional sports.
Tristan played a season of Junior A hockey in the USHL before earning a NCAA Division I college hockey scholarship to Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. He led the Golden Knights for most career games started and captained the Golden Knights his senior season. Tristan went on to pursue a professional hockey career in the ECHL and SPHL.
Zach earned a NCAA Division II college baseball scholarship to Florida Tech in Melbourne, FL. He set several offensive records for the Panthers his junior season and got drafted by the Baltimore Orioles later the same year. Zach eventually pursued his professional baseball career with the Florida Marlins and later in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
After baseball, Zach pursued his passion for training athletes while Tristan went off into the corporate world. With thousands of hours “under the bar” training himself, Zach earned advanced certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and USA Weightlifting so he could begin his quest of helping dedicated athletes achieve their dreams & goals. After years of bouncing between gyms and health clubs, Zach decided it was time to take the entrepreneurial plunge and “team-up” with Tristan to open a legitimate sports performance training facility for athletes.
In 2004, the Lush brothers opened their first sports performance facility in Melbourne, Florida establishing Power in Motion Athletics, Inc. (later renamed Athletes Advantage). Helping local athletes achieve their dream of playing at the college level they earned a reputation for producing fast results while getting their clients bigger, faster and stronger.
In 2007, the duo expanded into a bigger and state-of-the-art facility renaming the company DeLuca’s Training Systems in honor of their families Roman ancestry. Ever since, athletes of all ages and ability levels have sought out DeLuca’s experienced sports performance coaches to gain the competitive edge and perform at the next level.
Today, DeLuca’s coaches stay on the cutting edge of sports performance training with coaches who are dedicated to acquiring more knowledge in the fields of exercise science, speed development, injury prevention and optimum nutrition.
