Big League Strength For Heston

San Francisco Giants pitcher Chris Heston is building serious strength this off-season as he retools from what was already a stellar season in Class-A San Jose of the California League. Heston posted a 12-4 win-loss record in 2011 while striking out 131 in a durable 151 innings of minor league ball. He began his off-season workouts at DeLuca’s in early October and has already increased his squat and deadlift by 30 pounds in just 6 weeks of training. Heston’s off-season strength & conditioning program is comprised of an array of single leg squat variations and core stabilization exercises. It’s our training philosophy that pitchers win with their legs, so developing Heston’s lower half while addressing hip and ankle mobility has been his key priority.
